IT Support Team Leader – MCP

£27,000 - £32,000 DOE Plus Mileage Allowance

Our client is an established Microsoft Certified Gold Partner providing hosting centre operation for applications. Their blend of customer focus, listening skills, technical and practical knowledge and business awareness ensures a successful outcome for all their customers. An opportunity has now arisen for an IT Support Team Leader to join them.
As an IT Support Team Leader you will be tasked with providing support for hosted systems and LAN customers, such as upgrading existing systems and carrying out any internal support duties.
Additionally, you will be responsible for supervising and mentoring other engineers and undertaking a variety of projects to expand and update elements within the centre. You will ensure preventative maintenance is completed and security, integrity and performance reports are made. Although predominantly office based, travel to client sites will sometimes be required.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- An MCP qualification
- Strong team leadership skills
- Experience of Windows Server 2003 and 2008, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office and Active Directory
- SAN configuration and management, VMware and SSL VPN experience
- Good networking and firewall configuration skills
As an IT Support Team Leader you must have good communication skills coupled with a proactive approach. Due to site visits, you must also have access to your own vehicle.
Although not essential, an MCSE qualification would be an advantage to your application, as would experience of Windows server support and virtualised environments. Experience of any of the following would also be beneficial: backup systems (Veritas, Acronis, ARCServe and CDP), antivirus and anti-spam products, SonicWall appliances, Blackberry Enterprise Server, Microsoft SQL or routing.
