Project Manager – PRINCE2

Our client designs, develops and manages innovative end-to-end multi-application citizen cards and multi-modal smart ticketing solutions. An opportunity has now arisen for a Project Manager to join their team.
This is the ideal role for a motivated PRINCE2 qualified candidate with experience of managing multiple projects, looking to further their career within a successful organisation that relies on positive staff motivation and teamwork.
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for all project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for a variety of small to medium projects.
In this key role, you will be tasked with determining and reviewing all project costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risk for a portfolio of existing clients. Additionally, you will regularly liaise with the project team members and clients.
Your other duties will include:
- Working with management on project proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules
- Resolving any technical or operational issues
- Ensuring the project team meet deadlines and schedules
- Assisting in the training of the project team
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A PRINCE2 qualification
- Experience of successfully managing multiple projects
- Experience of using MS Project and Visio
Additionally, as a Project Manager you must be a team player with excellent communication skills. An organised approach coupled with strong planning skills is also key.
Whilst not essential, a programme management qualification, a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) or above, or an understanding of smart card technology would be advantageous. Strong presentation skills and experience in the transport market or of managing project budgets would also be desirable.
Experience of managing projects in complex environment or of writing business specifications and project charters would also be beneficial to your application.
